    Wireless packet and protocol info

    I'm getting my wireless knowledge together and looking for information of wireless packet and protocol standard or similar info. Can someone point me to articles, RFC's, books???

    I dont want to sound like a smart ***- apologies if thats what this sounds like, but RFCs are published by the Internet engineering task force (IETF) and some of those are adopted as internet standards ; while IEEE (Institute of electronic engineers ) looks after the 802.x standards (layer 2 and 1) 802.q 802.p
    802.11 (a,b,g,n), 802.16(b and w (wimax) etc

    You bored yet? Wait til you start reading those standards

    Oh I'm used to RFC's they are like man pages the driest reading know to man. I keep a six pack next to me when I read them, keeps me hydrated and they become clear by the fifth beer. <grin>
