I have an Epson DX8450 all-in-one and wanted to scan some documents. Because my PC did not show any recognition of the device, I installed Scanner Utility but have run into problems. Whereas in XP, I got decent colour scans, I now get what looks like a copy of a copy of an awful black-and-white copy. I also keep having to reopen the programme because it disappears when I click Scan. I found an online advice page but the instructions were beyond my amphibian-level technical knowledge. Any suggestions?
