Networking

I know this is probably a very stupid question but here goes, I am trying to play age of empires 2 with my girlfriend (possibly over hamachi later), but first we tried it over lan and there was no visible network connections inside age of empires. Did i mess up a config file somewhere that allows for network connections? I see lots of posts involving WoW so that leads me to believe networking works at some level. I am running 64bit Jaunty at the moment. Thanks!

As long as networking works on your system and you can access the lan/internet, WINE should have no trouble using it as well.
Check the appdb to make sure there are no known issue with your game and networking.
