I redesigned my portfolio earlier this year but I'm not happy with it for a few reasons. It's still HTML based, it's still top-heavy and it still doesn't look terribly professional. So I've gotten to work on re-launching it with a whole new look, using a CMS (probably Wordpress, but maybe Joomla).
Here's the mockup so far. I just wanted to post this here to get some impressions from some budding designers here. It was all done with GIMP btw.
