Re: HOWTO: Jaunty Intel Graphics Performance Guide

I just 'd like to say "Thank you!". Bleeding-edge drivers finally brought my system back to normal. Your how-to is great. But you know, it even got better after i commented out greedy migration heuristic don't know why...
    Anyway - Thanks!

Question Re: HOWTO: Jaunty Intel Graphics Performance Guide

Can anybody give me a recommendation of the best method for a EEEPC 1000H user?
    Code:
     lspci -nn | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27ae] (rev 03)
    Thanks

This is all that should be in our xorg under device in case you are using Jaunty with xorg 1.6

xorg 1.6 is included in default Jaunty installation but by the looks of it, don't think you are running a default installation.

Kernel check upgradation means its no longer default, in case of default Jaunty, your xorg section will not have the number of entries that I see.

Or, another way, why upset a bunch of people when there is little evidence of 'suffering' under the older drivers ? And please don't quote the well known 'SRU policy' line - the issue was known during the alpha and beta releases.
