    Need help creating boot disk - fustrated

    I am running a 2003 iMac (1 Ghz PowerPC G4 with 1.5 Ghz ram/Mac OS 10.5) and I want to install Ubuntu.

    My problem is that I can't seem to create a boot disk that works. I know how to boot from CD ("C" on bootup) but it just ignore the CDs I have created. I have downloaded the latest versions (8.10) but I have a feeling its how I am creating the boot disk that is the problem.

    Please help.

    Is that too newbie of a questions cause I can't even get to first base without the boot disk?
