Record Stereo Mix

Hi,
I am trying to record the stereo mix with GTK-Record My Desktop.
I have also tried with audacity and gnome audio recorder but I an not get either of these to work. I have played around with settings and browsed around on forums for days now. All I want to do is record with GTK-Record My Desktop and have it record the stereo mix too. I am using Kubuntu 8.04 with realtek AC 97 audio.

Try using PulseAudio:

the link is a tutorial for Ubuntu 8.04 but im sure it'll work on Kubuntu aswell.You will also find some information about it.
