    Is Nautilus really required to run dropbox? I use Xubuntu and Thunar and the .deb file wants to install nautilus.

    I believe so. It integrates a directory as a syncing location.

    BTW, Dropbox is an excellent tool when completely reinstalling your Ubuntu box. Just put your home folder completely into Dropbox and you can easily sync it back from there. This assumes your home folder fits into the 2GB limit.

    It's a great idea!. You also can add individual files from outside the Dropbox folder using hard links or synchronize your Firefox profile through Dropbox.
