Dual Boot after Ubuntu is install on the Whole disk

I install ubuntu on the whole disk, only to later discover I had made a mistake, virtualization is to slow for me and I need windows xp (certain programs I use elsewhere are incompatible) I am worried about creating a new partition on my disk and maybe erasing all of my ubuntu data. Then grub has to give me the other choice to.
