indicator applet in intrepid

Dear all,

I have given up trying the Jaunty release because of the many issues it still has (X crashes, suspend does not work), but I really liked the idea of the notification applet.

Is there any way I can get that in Intrepid (and make it work)?

No you can't use the new notifiction system in Intrepid, as it depends on python 2.6, which means you would have to update most applications, which would put you at almost jaunty any how. The Jaunty final release is April 23, so maybe try it again after the final release.

Thanks ... Will try maybe later, once the intel driver issues disappear and suspend works.
