i have ubuntu linux and i have a UTstarcom wireless modem i now the disc wont let me install the drivers because it was made to only work in windows is there anyway to override this and make it work in linux?

99% of cd's are not going to have drivers for linux
do you have the model number for the modem?
UTstarcom wireless modem isnt enough detail to know what hardware you have.
