Getting a Lenovo R400 fingerprint reader in Ubuntu

I'm using a Lenovo R400 laptop with Jaunty beta installed, and I really want to get the fingerprint reader to work. I tried following the instructions here, but when it came to typing tf-tool --acquire I got the message "Initializing...USB device not found." Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm at the same point too. Still looking for an answer, but I have a feeling there's either a little more configuration missing or its just plain not supported yet.

Hmmm, that's irritating. Oh well, I suppose I shall have to wait...

Apparently the R400s are using a newer authentec fingerprint reader. Support is in the works, but obviously not here yet.
