Greetings,
I have a older compaq Presario 900 that I want to install Ubuntu on. I have installed Ubuntu on a few systems and had good success but this one is giving me greif. I searched over the forums and form what i found this bug said it was fixe din 8.4 but my luck sucks.
I boot into the CD, it takes about 5 minutes of coping/installing files then i see a quick screen of text and then
Loading Please wait pops up. I waited 30 minutes then tried again. I installed XP pro on the system to make sure it wasnt just my and it installed fined. So, how can i get it past the loading please wait so i can finish putting Ubuntu on it.
Regards..
Decided to try the 9.4 release and i get this about 2 min into it
Loading, please wait
