Audacious command line to play CD

Hello, can anyone tell me if it is possible to play a CD in audacious from the command line?

I've tried "audacious /dev/cdrom" but it doesn't work.

I can play CDs fine via the GUI. I have to do "plugin services->add cd" which seems odd, but it works.

I need a command line so I can have ivman autoplay a CD when inserted.

    Thanks in advance...

I don't believe there is any command to autoplay audio cd's with audacious anymore. (unless you revert back to a much older version (1.3...?)

You need to call the plugin in the current version which only seems available from the gui

On the other hand Amarok will work perfectly for autostart and autoplay from one or more devices.

Thank you mc4man. I suspected that would be the answer, and it really sucks. I will try out another player then but I want one without the Gnome/KDE bloat.

    try: audacious cdda://

You'll still have to close the file window and hit [Play] button, then the tracks will appear in the playlist and 1st track will play.
