If you have the packages build-essential and linux-headers-generic installed and it still errors out, then I suggest you ask the developers of ipraw-ng why their package won't compile.

before I proceed, I'm new to Ubuntu
but I have idea about commands I used to work with DOS stuff
I installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
