How do i get CS:S working?

I'm very new to Ubuntu and I have NO CLUE HOW TO GET IT TO WORK.
I tried to follow the HOW TO's on Wine, but those don't work. It's too confusing. I don't get any of the commands it's telling me to do or anyhting..

So please someone tell me h ow to get it to work. I already have both installed on my computer, but i go to launch cs: s and it freezes at "Loading..."

Since you are so new to Ubuntu, perhaps you should take some time to learn the basics of Linux and Wine before you try tackling CS:S. I only say this because at this point, the steps to install and run CS:S with Steam are extremely straightforward as Wine/Linux instructions go.

Ubuntu does provide some very good beginner documentation on their site and there are numerous other sources online, like Just Linux. For Wine in particular, the WineHQ website is the best place to start.
