Question Disable Wallpaper spanning with dual monitors

I am still pretty new to ubuntu. I run dual monitors, and when I set that up, the wallpaper stretches across both screens. This is when I use Nvidia config tool (twin view) How can I make it so it doesnt do this and shows the wallpaper individually on both screens?

    My monitors are:
    NEC Multisync LCD2090UXi
    Samsung SyncMaster 920NW

    Vid. Card:
    Nvidia GeForce 9800GT

    Thanks in advance!

Try changing it in Compiz Fusion. I think that has some multi monitor stuff.

I had issues with that in Gnome. I went to XFCE instead and it works with dual monitors no problems. Don't know if that is an option for you, but it's an idea...

Thanks for the replies. I will try compiz first and if that doesn't work I'll try XFCE.

Hei, I'm in the same situation and want separate wallpapers for each monitor. I achieved that in XFCE. But I would like to stay in Gnome, have you had any luck with compiz?

    tnx

yeah gnome is lacking this feature AFAIK, and even the option to scale the same pic to each screen individually rather than to all your screens at once (which will rarely scale nicely)
