this software will permanent destroy a LCD laptop display

you can find it under support bulletins

Issue:

Samsung MagicTune software may permanently disable the built-in LCD display screen of Toshiba computers, including those listed above. Do not run the MagicTune software on any Toshiba portable computer.

The MagicTune software is designed for use with desktop computers that do not have a built-in LCD display screen. The MagicTune software ships with Samsung SyncMaster LCD display screens, and may be downloaded from Samsung's website.

Resolution:

If your LCD display screen has been disabled by the MagicTune software, make arrangements for repair with a Toshiba Authorized Service Provider.

To locate a Toshiba Authorized Service Provider (ASP), visit Toshiba's Global ASP Locator at http://pcrepair.toshiba.com -- or call 800-457-7777.

Re: this software will permanent destroy a LCD laptop display

It seems to be a valid concern, as it is on the Toshiba website. However, it appears to apply only to Windows and OSX.
