Firefox taking forever to close

Hello,

I have been having problem with closing Firefox. This started quite recently. First it wasnt so bad that I hardly noticed it, but now it is unbearable.

So what happens is:

After using FF for a while (30 mins or so) and when I click to close it, the hard drive starts to operate. It is pretty noisy so I know something happens (read/writes) as soon as I press close button.
After couple of seconds FF greys out and gives me the "FF is not responding.. click Force Quit..." window. If I click force quit it closes suddenly.
But if I let it do its thing, it takes about 10~15 seconds for it to close. And all that time I can hear the hard drive is working extensively. This doesn't happen if I use FF for a couple of minutes..

What happening guys?

Not sure what its all about but did you try reinstalling a fresh one?
