php-xml replacement?

Hello folks.

I am having a problem with a server setup and my webmail client.

ubuntu 8.10
mysql
php5
apache2
roundcube 0.2.1

While this is an existing known problem with the default php package and the roundcube setup the fix (their forum) is in adding the php-xml package to my setup.

I have hunted and searched and tried similar packages in ubuntu repositories and none have worked and yet I have not found the php-xml package in its "purest" form.

Can anyone point me in a (i'd take almost anything right now) direction to find the php-xml package.

This is nothing more than a (un)qualified guess, since it is a loong time since the last time I did anything with php, but I tried to google a little bit, and (I assume you have allready tried this, but at least somebody is answering your post...)
