Can I edit the xorg.conf file before I burn the Ubuntu ISO?

In order to change the resolution to 1024x768, since this is the only resolution my TV can use and I can't install Ubuntu to change it.

you can edit it, then restart x-server by pressing ctrl-alt-backspace...
but, since you are not installing it and just using the live cd, you will need to do it everytime you reboot.

I mean edit the file inside the ISO before I burn it to a disc, is this file in the Winrar archive and editable or is this a bad idea?
