    connecting samrtax MT882 in Intrepid

I am trying to configure SmartAX MT882 modem in Intrepid using USB. Unfortunately, the Linux driver provided with the installation CD is only for kernel version 2.4
I haven't been able to find the right driver. Help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

i would suggest that you use the ethernet port, as i haven't seen anyone being able to use the usb port with linux.

BSNL huh? You really gotta go with the ethernet port in that case. Google 'huwaei' (whatever the spelling). I think there was a workaround mentioned in linuxforums.
