    mint is a lot of unneeded stuff. good luck doing updates with it. i guarantee it breaks for you within a month or 2.

    even with windows you have to install codecs. why is this a big deal? takes me all of 30 seconds. or is that too much time?

    when you say mint is more polished, what does that mean? i don't see any turtle wax on it.

    The menu is flawless, updated themes, and ready to go. its a figure of speech. and ive already updated about 3 times and its good. no problems what so ever. unlike ubuntu, but maybe its just me.
