    HP MIE volume issue?

So it is turning out that my Mini Mi edition(Hard based) the whole system volume is being controlled by the Front volume instead of the more logical Master volume. So, when I hit the fn + volume up, down or mute sound does not change as it is adjusting the master volume. Is there a way to get so that when I do hit fn + a volume key it adjusts the front volume or get it to be where the master volume is the main volume? Thanks.

So is there something I could get of synaptic that might fix this issue?

In case you're still looking for an answer...

Click on Settings on the top right hand corner.
    Click Advanced
    Click on Sound
    Click on Devices tab

The right hand side has a list of different adjustable items.
Highlight what you want the keyboard volume keys to adjust.
Master is one of the options. Hope that helps.
