    Setting up a VERY WAN

OK im not even sure this is possible and I sure dont have a clue as to how to go about it.

I have 2 Sister in Laws that live in the same house with 2 computers both running XP . I live about 5 hrs away and run 8.04. I am the one that they call when they have problems with the computers.

Their internet connection is through a sprint USB wifi adapter (sierra 598 as I recall). I have a wired connection.

What I want to do is set it up so that I can access either of their computers and do diagnostics , transfer files to them for repairs etc.
Trying to do it over the phone is a real PITA. They only have cell service and are in the middle of BFE and service sucks. In addition one is a total moron the other has little knowledge but is trying to learn.

Eventually both computers will be converted to Ubuntu.

    Any ideas?
The only dumb question is the one not asked.

If they are using XP you can use remote desktop access. Windows has the software built in to the os.

The same type of software is also built into Ubuntu.
