    Question external hard drive compatibility

    I want to buy an external hard drive (Seagate 1.0 TB ST310005FDA2E1-RK), but I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to use it with ubuntu. I don't think it is compatible with ubuntu but I guess something can be done about that. I'm not very experienced with linux so I really need some advice before spending the money.

    I have three different external harddrives by various manufacturers. I've never had a problem.

    I used matrox and WD never had any issue
