Hello you good people.

I wonder if one of you genius types could please assist with a problem I have.

I am attempting to install the proprietary driver for the above mentioned graphics card in Ubuntu, the driver is listed under Hardware Drivers, however when I click activate it begins to download the necessary driver, stays at 0% for a couple of seconds and then closes.

It doesn't activate the driver, it doesn't download the driver and gives no error message.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
