there is a sub-forum dedicated to a software that is not even included in the main install!
don't you think its time to mainstream it?
i realise this is a bit trollish, but if you can admit that wine is enough of an issue to warrant its own sub-forum, then why can't it be added to the main install?

Actually I got tired of the 2 billion World of Warcrack threads in the Gaming forum and made it a point to get this subforum made.
Ubuntu and Linux in general DOES NOT need WINE installed by default.

why did you feel the need to lock the thread?
believe me, you will find its what the overwhelming majority will want.
give the users what they want. like i said in a different thread, it lets us do stuff like play games, yes maybe having it in does not 'look good' but the users needs should come first.
how about having it in for a few releases, then 'deprecating' it?
