I've been using Kubuntu since 6.10 (edgy), and haven't really had any problems I couldn't either deal with or fix myself, but now I'm really stumped.

I recently got my laptop back with a virgin HDD, and just installed Intrepid on it. Now however, my ethernet will not work. More specifically, if I run lspci | grep ethernet, I get:
Code:
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation Device fbff (rev 78)
but the interface refuses to show up in KNetworManager.

I was able to use a litte ethernet > usb adapter to get online and get my wireless card working, but now I need a hardline connection and don't have the adapter handy. Am I missing a kernel module? If so, which one? Any help would be great.

If anybody needs any more information, just ask me for it and I can post it.
