The sticky guide is great but I got the following errors (8.04):

Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libstdc++5_1%3a3.3.6-15ubuntu6_i386.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
dea@u8:~$

and later:

E: /var/cache/apt/archives/libstdc++5_1%3a3.3.6-15ubuntu6_i386.deb: trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/', which is also in package lightscribe

These errors appear to relate to my installation of the packages:

/home/dea/Desktop/lightscribeApplications-1.10.19.1-linux-2.6-intel.deb

and

/home/dea/Desktop/lightscribe-1.18.2.1-linux-2.6-intel.deb

My priority is to fix multimedia over fix Lightscribe. My naive question is how do I remove the bad libstdc++5 so I can fix multimedia. Any insightful perspective would be appreciated. : this is a new computer and Lightscribe does not yet work.
