    Angry solaris dual boot issues

I have ubuntu 8.10 and i decided to try and install opensolaris, but I forgot to write down my menu.lst information before I installed opensolaris. Now ubuntu is not in the grub. Is there any way I would be able to salvage this mess or am I just gonna have to start clean. My ubuntu was installed using the default settings. I had left 10 gigs open for another os and installed on that.

There is a way to reinstall GRUB with the Ubuntu Live CD, though I've never had to do it and don't know the steps. Have you tried the Live CD for this?

Yes it did. That never dawned on me. I was just using the live cd in reference to a clean reinstall that I didnt think it through. It was actually quite easy with the 8.10 live cd. It walks you through the process on manual install
just remember to write down the grub options from solaris so it doesnt happen in reverse.
thanx a bunch for the outside thought process. It is greatly appreciated.
I think I would have cried without my ubuntu.
