Funny, but in violation of CoC

Can you point out where? I searched the CoC with the keyword "avatar" before I even tried to post it. This is what I found:

The use of political images in avatars is also prohibited.

Avatars should be kept clean and inclusive of all people. No porn, racist images, or rtfm types of images. If the user has one of these, send them a private message and ask them to remove the avatar. If the user does not voluntarily remove their avatar contact an administrator to have the avatar removed and possibly issue an infraction.

Nobody PM'd me. Besides, that avatar was clean. It wasn't pornographic, racist, political, or "RTFM" type (I would jump off a high building before I'd become a "RTFM" n00b).

Not trying to get it "reinstated"; it's animated, and that's not allowed, no matter what I think of it.

I'm just trying to learn how to interpret these CoC rules, because they seem to be so broad and inclusive and open to interpretation that I'm never really sure if what I'm saying is allowed. I can't not break the rules if I can't understand them.

For all I know this post could be in violation of the CoC (disagreeing with the CoC: 5 infraction points and three months queued posts).

Not all users want to see depictions of blood, I being one of them.

Regarding the CoC,:

Adult Content/Violence/Illegal Activity: Messages containing sexually oriented/violent/illegal dialogue, images, content, or links to these things will be deleted. Messages with links to or suggesting illegal activity will also be deleted. Posting or linking to any of these could result in a ban.

Besides, what about those who thought it was funny? Should they be denied amusement simply because you don't like it? Isn't that a little arrogant?

In any case, it's over and done. It was animated, which isn't allowed, regardless of the content. So no biggie.

I think Thomas Jefferson said it best: "A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine."

As far as I'm concerned, avatars are part of the message, as they are displayed along with your message. I wouln't be surprised if the mods and admins feel the same.

Just because I am the only one that expressed my views in this area does not mean that others hold the same or similar views. Some people get sick at the sight of blood, realistic or not. We need to try to keep all views in mind when it comes to the content of our posts, sigs, and avatars.
