    choppy scrolling?

    when i scroll a website for example the scrolling is a bit choppy. is it possible that my video card driver is not updated? i know that the times i have reinstalled windows i would have to reload my graphics card driver

    What is your graphics card? Is it only choppy with the arrow keys or with the slider too?

    You can do lspci from the terminal to view your graphics card.

    You should be able update supported hardware drivers by using
    system-administration-hardware drivers and enabling restricted drivers.

    whenever i go to system, administration, hardware drivers it doesn't show anything at all

    this is what it lists for video device, though:
    VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R200 QL [Radeon 8500 LE]
