    usplash problem

Hi I was trying to install a new boot splash and it did not work in the terminal so I installed Startup Manager and I seem to have set it up correctly but it kept displaying the default Ubuntu splash on startup. I clicked "manage usplash themes" and clicked the default ubuntu splash and hit remove thinking it would remove it from the choices but it seems to have deleted it completely and I still cannot get the splash screen to work, or any splash at all.

I would appreciate it if you would help me out with the install the new theme properly or at the very least get the old splash back. Right now it shows the boot text and thats it.

    Re: usplash problem

According to this source, there is a bug in intrepid which won't allow you to change your splash screen. But it offers you an alternative bootsplash program and guides you through how to set it up.
