    Icon change: Volume control

How do I change the icon that appears when I use the media buttons to change the volume on my Dell Vostro???

The current one is clearly a small icon that is enlarged and it looks ugly.

I'm using the Mac4Lin set of icons, so I don't want all of the icons changing, just that one.

You need to find where that icon is stored and replace it manually.

Most icons are in /usr/share/icons and /usr/share/pixmaps. If it was not in your installed icon pack, ubuntu will most likely fallback into the Human or Gnome icon pack, so you will find it in one of those folders (human or gnome).

If you've got Desktop effects running, the icon may be in /usr/share/compiz

There are also other icon pack & gtk theme packs available if you are interested in making your computer look more the way you would like it to.

Here's a link on the topic with some theme packs on display:
