    File Manager

I'd like to get an alternative file manager to use instead of Vista's. I need one that has the option to replace the Vista one. So, when I open a folder, it should automatically open in the manager.

I have tried the trial of Directory opus, but don't want to spend money, or at least not that much. I like how it did a good job of setting itself as default.

If one doesn't come with such an option, is there another way to manually do it?

there are a lot of good ones:

    1. Total Commander (my personal favourite)
    2. XYplorer
    3. xplorer2
    4. altap salamander etc.

my recommendation would be total commander.
