The way I arrange the folders on my /home is so unimaginative that you would die of boredom because everyone said the same thing.

What I do, do, is copy them over to another partion on the same drive (which of course is not entirely safe) but where I may get slightly interesting, is that I also have a headless FreeNAS box which I only turn on (due to my environmental responsibilities) when I need to use it.

So I copy everything across to the FreeNAS box.

No one can rely on data being safe on a single machine, nomatter how many drives are involved. I certainly feel better about my data if the backup machine is not even turned on!
