Moving Banshee data to another computer?

Hi guys,

I am copying all my stuff to another computer and was wondering about my music. I'm using Banshee and have rated over a thousand tracks. Each time I reinstall or change computers I lose all my ratings and have to start over. Very frustrating.

I have tried searching my computer to see if there's a file that contains the ratings so I can move it over, but I can't find it. Is there one? I thought it may have been hidden in my home folder, but there doesn't seem to be any Banshee related files in there. I tried searching my filesystem for "banshee" but nothing that came up seemed relevant to ratings etc.

Do I have to start over and rerate all my stuff or is there a file I can copy across?

look in your home folder for .banshee folder or something like that. usually the program will store settings a configuration file/folder, then you could just copy that over.

I already looked for that, but there are no banshee related folders hidden in my home folder

I don't use banshee my self, but it appears the config files are located in "~/gnome2/banshee" and "~/.config/banshee"
