Question How do I install session_manger-0.6.3.3-fx.xpi

I run Hardy and want to use Seamaonkey as my web browser. I installed the latest version from a downloaded *tar.gz file. It works fine but each time I reboot, all the internet sessions are gone. I found the package "session_manger-0.6.3.3-fx.xpi".
Would this be the right package to save all the session before shutdown/reboot?
How do I install a *.xpi package?

An xpi is a Firefox extension installation file. Just drag and drop it into Firefox to install it.

    Thank you, mb_webguy...

This seems to be a very easy procedure to do, BUT I don't know how?
I have un-installed Firefox and instead I installed SeaMonkey, but I learned that I could use the session manager for it too.
Now, If I open Seamonkey and drag the *.xpi package into the window (Screenshot01) I get the message see Screenshot02. And from there I'm not sure what to do.
Could you please give me some help?

That's a normal warning whenever you try to install an xpi from an unverified source. In Firefox, the list of trusted sites can be accessed in the Security tab of the Preferences dialog, by clicking on the Exceptions button next to "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons". However, as long as the checkbox next to "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons" is checked, you'll always get this warning when you try to install an xpi manually. I've never used SeaMonkey, but it probably has similar settings.

As long as you trust the site where you downloaded the xpi, go ahead and click "Install" to install the extension. (Btw, I'm assuming you downloaded this xpi file from a website. You can usually just click on the link to an xpi and automatically install it from the website without downloading it.)

Question Re: How do I install session_manger-0.6.3.3-fx.xpi

Yes, the first time I downloaded it, but now I found the Site "osuosl.org" (Oregon State University Open Source Lab)- a site which I trust -and tried to install it directly from the link and I get the message "Install script not found" ( see screenshot ).
So, stuck again. What do I do wrong?

That's odd. I have no answer. Perhaps someone else that has more experience with Seamonkey can help...

    SeaMonkey Experts Wanted!

    EDIT Mar.25, 2009

    I never succeeded...Case closed!

The reason I installed Seamonkey in the first place was that I had difficulties with the log-in to "myemail@canada.com" under Mozilla. This seems to be somehow miraculously solved now and I use Mozilla Firefox again. The issue is solved.

I have no need for the session-manager right now...
    The browser issue is solved...
I use Firefox or Chrome depending on how I feel in the morning before browsing the net....
