OpenVPN and DWA-140 (rt2870) stops working after Kernel-upgrades

Hello, and thanks upfront for any help with my issues.

I have a repetitive problem, with different software, on two different computeres.

I have a laptop with the D-Link DWA-140 USB-wireless network adapter, and here I am using a driver from Ralink (Ralink rt2870). My problem here is that everytime there is a Linux Kernel-upgrade, I have to reinstall the driver to make it work.
On another computer I have an OpenVPN-server running. Also here I have the same problem with Kernel-upgrades.

I really appreciate any help with guiding me in the right direction for a solution to these challenges!

One last question: Does anyone know about an active OpenVPN-forum?

Once again, thanks for any help!

you have to re-install them, just ignore the kernel updates or block them if your current kernel works good.
