    wired network working in lubuntu not in ubuntu(weird)

    hi.im new to ubuntu.i have dual boot of lubuntu(12.04 ) and ubuntu(10.04) in my old ibm t41..here is my weird story.
    if i boot lubuntu first,wired connection is working in it ..after that i reboot to ubuntu and get connectedif i boot ubuntu first ,wired connection is not workinI always have to restart to get it work...
    can someone help me to configure proper network connection in Ubuntu..?
    i like ubuntu very much than lubuntu

    In a terminal, use lspci command to discover what ethernet card you have.

    If you search the web for <YOUR ETHERNET CARD> + Ubuntu 10.04, it's possible that someone else suffered the same problem and already found a solution.

    If that's too confusing post your card model here.
