Question Music player with skip back?

    Hi,
I do an audio typing part-time job where I have to type what is said on an audio tape.

To make it alot fast I record the tape onto my computer with audacity and then use a music player with hotkeys for play/pause and 'skip back 5 seconds' as I type in Word.

All of ubuntu's main music players have a play/pause function that can be assigned to a hotkey, but unfortunately nothing to let me skip back a few seconds with the press of a key. For this I am forced to keep an install of windows xp just to use foobar (which has this feature). Before you ask, yes foobar does work fine in wine, but unfortunately the hotkeys dont work when foobar isnt focused.

Does anyone know of any linux apps that can do this? Or any other way?
Its a bit of a shame I have to keep winxp just for 1 simple feature.

    Thanks in advance!

If a Java app would be OK with you, try Express Scribe.

    thanks for the reply.

I have tried that before but with no success. I cant remember what the reason was as it was a whilte back, but I know it wasnt suitable.
