    Unhappy terminal problem with alt key

    I have problems using Alt in terminal:
    eg:
    - In mc doesn't work Alt+O or Alt+s
    - in terminal: if i type bbla2 bla3 and want to delete last word(bla3) using Alt+Backspace i get strange characters like it doesn't recognise key pressed.
