Ubuntu Corrupted! Need Help to Recover!

Hi friends,

I edited the xorg.conf file. When I restarted Ubuntu, the brown bar goes well, but one it finished, it goes to black screen. It used to be ok before I edited the xorg.conf file.

I was wondering if anyone could help me to recover my system, back to the status before I edited the xorg.conf.

Its pretty easy if you kept a copy of your old xorg just rename it back or copy it back depending on the way you did it?

You did make a back up didn't you?

Restart your computer. When you come up to the GRUB screen, scroll down to Ubuntu (Recovery Mode). Once you get the blue screen with 4 options, select 'xfix' and press enter. Reboot normally and you should be good to go. Hope this helps!
