Closure of Lame Reasons to give up on Linux thread

2 pages of supposedly flamewar posts,to be precise,only one,because before Tomatz jumped in with his KWin is crud post,all that LuisAugusto and I were having is whether C-F was dead or not,and it is most civilized language,if you read through it.

The thread is a for laughs thread,and the issue could be better esolved by deleting said flame posts and re-opening the thread.Please?

I read through the last few pages of the thread. The topic, and many of the posts, only serve to make our forums look bad. That one post wasn't the only issue, but merely the catalyst.

Couldn't you delete those posts and let the thread continue?The thread is generally well behaved,and from those lame reasons,some people have found out how to counter them.

The problem is that in my quick spot check I found many posts that were borderline; not exactly in violation of the letter of the forum rules, but pushing the envelope of the spirit of them.

Weeding through the thread would take a lot of work and energy that can be put to better use elsewhere. Sorry.
