new install and partitions won't mount

help! just installed openbox ubuntu and can't mount any partitions. When using the live USB I made certain that I could read and write to every partition. In thunar I can see the partitions, but won't mount. Error says "directory doesn't exist." fdisk lists all the partitions on the drive.

    Anybody seen this before?

You might download Device systems Manager and see if you can get them to mount on boot. It worked for me.
