Moving images and video to Picasa 2

I've moved thousands of my images from digikam to Picasa 2 and before I delete digikam and F-Spot how can I be sure that I have them all saved in Picasa without going through each one in turn?

I also have several videos stored in Digikam but they don't appear to have been transfered to Picasa, perhaps Picasa doesn't deal with video? What do I do with the vidio saved in digikam please does Picasa handle it? If not, what program will store and show video in Ubuntu 8.04?

You don't actually save videos or photos in digikam, they are still wherever you put them on your hard disk, in whichever folder you chose, so you need not worry about that, but I would suggest you keep the pics and videos on your hard disk anyway, not delete them just because they are on picasa. It will be much easier to manage them on a local drive. I can't help with any more info about picasa as I don't use it.

    Hi

Picasa only views the photo's from your own files on the hard disc.

Of course you can upload to your gmail account for double safety.

    The Linux version doesn't indeed.
The Linux version isn't totaly up to par with the Windows version I'm afraid, too bad.

The Linux picasa is the windows one running on a modified WINE. So it does not burn disks or run video that the Windows one does.

I find it strange that they didn't base the OS X Picasa on WINE but did the Linux one.
