HP ProBook 4525s no speakers ubuntu9.04

Well, i got my HP PB4515s today tried to install Karmic, that failed badly, dont even ask

But now i installed 9.04, everything runs smoothly but with one hick-up,
THe HUGE speaker isnt working, the Headphone jack is working so OK with that but thee HUUGE speaker just sits there silently. Could someone please tell me how to enable it ?

I got so many functions in my Volume Control.
HDA ATI SB ( Alsa Mixer ) is the main changeling
And there are several was to change the volume... and im lost..

I'm actually having the same problem, but on a Gateway notebook. Sound out of the headphone jack is fine, but nothing will come out of the speakers.
