Xubuntu 8.10 Intrepid has been a terrible distro for my machine: iBook G3 600 MHz (more specs: 12.1 inch screen with white translucent exterior).
Xubuntu won't allow me to open the terminal (or any other key-windows within the desktop GUI, except for the "Quit Window"), and now it won't even allow me to open my CD-drive when I really need it to get rid of Xubuntu & reinstall a stable operating system.
Would anyone, who's reading this please tell me which command to type in my machine during booting-process so I can make the CD-drive open & put a new Install-CD in it?
Example of what I see when I reboot Xubuntu:
Which command would open my CD Drive?Code:Boot:
SOLVED!
When Xubuntu booted up to the Login-screen, I clicked/select the following options in chronological order:
1. Session
2. Failsafe Terminal
Then I typed eject in that bitch. DONE.
