    Flash videos no longer play

A couple of days ago the flash plugin on my computer stopped working. Everything was going smoothly, but now whenever I go to watch a video on Youtube the first couple of second will load and play, and then everything stops. The rest of the video does not buffer, and the slider returns to the beginning.

If I scroll further ahead in the video the same behaviour occurs: a couple of seconds will buffer and play, and then it goes back to the beginning and sits there, doing nothing.

At first I thought it was just a problem on YouTube's end, but I've since tried watching videos on other computers and it works fine.

I am using Hardy x86-64, firefox, and the non-free flash plugin. Everything works on a 32-bit virtual machine on my 64-bit computer, and it works under Windows, and Hardy i386 and Intrepid i386.

The only thing I've thought of to try doing is to uninstall and reinstall the flash plugin, but that hasn't helped. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you need further information, please feel free to ask.

Go install the 64-bit alpha plug-in. The method is detailed over in the 64-bit forum.

type this in firefox address bar and look for Shockwave Flash, and paste the output here

    Code:
    about:plugins
although I believe you should post this question on mozilla forums.
